THE BENEFITS OF CEREC

It used to be that getting a crown, dental bridge and other dental restorations required at least two dental appointments spaced over several weeks. But now, thanks to the CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Aesthetic Ceramics) system, patients can have a beautiful and fully functioning dental restoration in a single appointment. Dr. Sean Feely of Ramona Family Dentistry offers same-day dental restorations using CEREC. Read on to learn about the benefits of this innovative system.

HOW CEREC WORKS

CEREC is a state-of-the-art computerized system that uses digital imaging and technologies to create metal-free, all-porcelain tooth restorations. The system also maps out the precise placement of restorations for a secure fit. First, the system takes digital impressions of your tooth, which are then used to create a virtual restoration. The CEREC computer software also takes measurements of your tooth and mouth for accurate placement. Once the final design of your restoration is ready, it will be sent to an on-site milling unit. The restoration is created in a matter of minutes. It is then placed in the mouth and bonded into place. The entire process is typically completed in the span of a few hours and in one single visit to our office.

THE ADVANTAGES OF CEREC

ARE YOU A CANDIDATE FOR A SAME-DAY DENTAL RESTORATION?

Virtually everyone in need of a dental restoration is a candidate for same-day dental restorations. If you don’t have time to return to our office for multiple dental visits, or you would simply rather not wait to get a permanent restoration, we recommend you consider treatment with CEREC. Dr. Nathan Christensen, D.D.S. and Dr. Hemant Sachdeva D.D.S. can use CEREC to create tooth-colored fillings, inlays, onlays, dental crowns, porcelain veneers, dental bridges and dental implants.
